What is NET?
The NUST Entry Test (NET) is the admission test for all undergraduate engineering programs at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), one of Pakistan's top engineering universities.
Exam Structure
NET consists of 200 MCQs: Mathematics (80), Physics (60), Chemistry (40), and English (20). Total time is 3 hours with no negative marking. The test is computer-based with instant result display.
Scoring & Merit
NET score contributes 75% to the final merit, while FSc/A-Level equivalence contributes 25%. A score of 140+ is competitive for most engineering programs at NUST.
Exam Schedule
NET is conducted 4 times a year (February, April, June, August). Students can appear in all attempts, with the best score considered for merit calculation.
